SLS-Free Strengthening Shampoo:
Hair breaking and damaged from too many weekends under your wig or up in a bun? This is a great everyday strengthening shampoo for all hair types (yes, even oily :) ) to keep your scalp refreshed and your hair strong. Use with the Silk Conditioner for even more protection. Available in three scents - Creamsicle, Peppermint Patty, Iced Green Tea - and Unscented.

What is sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS)?
SLS is a detergent and foaming agent -- it's what makes your toothpaste foam and your shampoo lather. It's fairly cheap for companies to buy, so it shows up in almost everything. The problem is that SLS is a known irritant -- it makes your scalp dry in shampoo and can cause canker sores if you're using a toothpaste containing SLS. So, we don't put it in our shampoos or soaps.

What does this mean about the product?
What this means is that your SLS-free shampoo especially won't “lather” like a commercial brand. It will lather a bit, and will clean just as well but it won't foam up. DO massage your scalp vigorously to increase the benefits but DON'T use more than you normally would trying to get a lather -- you'll end up gucky, just like a regular shampoo :( And gucky is not what we want for you.

Silk Conditioner:
Pair it with our SLS-free shampoo for a complete strengthening system. For very oily hair types (like Ally!) we recommend only using the conditioner once or twice a week. Available in all four scents (see shampoo description). The bottles pictured are our sample size, but you will receive 1 full 8 oz bottle of this shampoo (the bottles look about the same, only bigger!)
