Get a web discount code? Here's how to use it!
So here's the deal. Our shopping cart is pretty basic, and neither it nor Paypal have a good way of implementing automatic coupons, especially of the "10% off one item" variety. So we work around it, because we want to keep these as an option! YOU don't have to do anything too complicated, but we figured it would be helpful to know how it works.
1) Once you have selected all your items, proceed to the Paypal checkout page -- it will look like this whether you use your credit card or an existing Paypal account::
2) See that "Add Special Instructions to Merchant" link right under the items? Click on it, and it will bring up a little text box. THAT is where you want to put your code. Again, we don't have a way of doing this automatically, so you will NOT see a change in your cart total.
3) Checkout as normal. Once we get the notification for the order, we will refund the specified discount. This is also where we refund any shipping charge overages -- so if you are in Ontario you only pay $5 for shipping, for example. We get to the refund within 24 hours and usually a LOT sooner -- please contact us right away if this time period has passed and you have NOT received your refund.
4) Want to pay the correct amount right away? DON'T checkout through Paypal, just send us an email with your order details and we'll email you a custom invoice (yes, you can still pay it securely with your credit card!)
